Nissan's Pathfinder is a SUV for the American market. It is a midsize model. Introduced in the mid 1980s, around late 1985, the first generation lasted until 1995. The second generation, introduced in 1996 has more rounded styling. In 2000, the Pathfinder was freshened, with a new 240 horsepower V6 engine. Finally, at the 2004 North American International Auto Show, Nissan unveiled a completely redesigned Pathfinder for the 2005 model year (CanadianDriver Communications, Inc., 2004).
In late 2003, a full-size spinoff, the Pathfinder Armada, debuted.
