Orlando is a novel by Virginia Woolf. It is the story about a young man named Orlando, born in England during the reign of Elizabeth I, who decides not to grow old. He doesn't, and he passes through the ages as a young man... until he wakes up one morning to find that he has metamorphed into a woman.

A film adaptation of the novel was made in 1993, starring Tilda Swinton as Orlando and Quentin Crisp as Queen Elizabeth.

Orlando is also an Italian opera written by George Frideric Handel.
