Orono, Ontario

Orono is a small town in Ontario, Canada.

It was founded in 1832 and was named after Orono, Maine since the topography was seen as very similar. It is located on Highway 35/115, approximately 45 minutes drive East of Toronto.

Notable landmarks:

Orono, is also known for the Durham Central Fair which draw people from miles around.

The nearby Kirby ski hill is a popular winter attraction.
