Oswine of Deira

Oswine or Osuine (?-651), was king of Deira in northern England, succeeding Oswald of Bernicia, possibly in 644. Oswine was the son of Osric.

According to Bede, he was murdered by Oswiu at Gilling after refusing to engage in battle.
