There are various barbecue and picnic sites along Route Twisk, Teh Sek Kong, Pat Heung catchwater and the Tuen Mun catchwater.

Camping

Stages 9 and 10 of the MacLehose Trail pass through Tai Lam Country Park and end at Tuen Mun. you can find camp sites along the trail available for hikers to spend the night.

Hiking

There are many trails near the Country Park. Some are listed as follows:

-The Kap Lung Forest Trail- it starts from the top of Route Twisk near the Country Park Management Centre.

-The Twisk Nature Trail- it is located near the Country Park Management Centre. This trail introduces the natural environment and human impacts in the area.

-The fitness trail at So Kwun Wat catch-water- this trail provides 14 sets of fitness equipment for visitors and morning walkers.
