P.A. Sangma

P.A. Sangma

Purno Agitok Sangma (born September 1, 1949) is an Indian politician. He is a former Lok Sabha Speaker. He belongs to the National Congress Party. Sangma is known for his humanist approach; few Indians view him as a Christian and so he doesn't have wide acceptance.

In the recent election developements as on January 21, 2004, P.A.Sangma seems to quit by breaking the NCP to join with NEPF. This decision seems to happen after Sharad Pawar is becoming close to NCP's enemy Sonia Gandhi
