Paphiopedilum

Paphiopedilum is a genus of approximately 100 species of orchid (Orchidaceae), native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, paphiopedilums (or "paphs") are considered highly collectable by growers due the curious and unusual form of their flowers. They are all terrestrials. There is some discussion as to whether paphs actually belong in the Orchidaceae.

They are related to the genus Cypripedium.
