Pleasantville (movie)

Pleasantville is a 1998 movie starring Tobey Maguire and Reese Witherspoon. William H. Macy, Jeff Daniels, Joan Allen, Don Knotts and J.T. Walsh are also featured.

The story is about a brother and sister (Maguire and Witherspoon) who are magically transported into the world of a television program (also titled Pleasantville). Much of the film's drama and humor derive from the fact that the world of the television program is black-and-white, until, as a result of the "real-life" characters' appearance, color begins to seep in and affect the "television" characters as well...
