The President of Iraq is Iraq's head of state and chief of government. All of Iraqis presidents have been authoritarian dictators so the office does not have a clearly designed constitutional structure.
The president exercises all power single-handedly, operating only with the consultation of a small cabinet.
The office is likely to change upon the adoption of a new constitution.
