Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid (born January 11, 1973) is an Indian cricketer (right hand batsman, wicketkeeper). He is a member of the Indian national cricket team since 1996. He was born at Indore in Madhya Pradesh, India.

Besides playing for Karnataka and India, he has also played for Kent and Scotland. He made his test debut against England at Lords in the 2nd test match of India's test tour of England in 1996. He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka at Singapore in the Singer Cup tournament in the same year. He has been named by Wisden as one of the cricketers of the year 2000.

In 2004, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India.
