Reginald Barclay

Lieutenant Reginald Barclay is a character in the fictional Star Trek universe, played by Dwight Schultz. He first appeared in the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation as an engineer aboard the Starship Enterprise, in which capacity he also appeared in the movie Star Trek: First Contact. He also had a recurring role in the later seasons of Star Trek: Voyager.

Perhaps the most human character aboard the Enterprise E, Barclay has many flaws that he must overcome. He is shy and insular with a tendency to stutter. He had to overcome a fear of being transported, and he fights with a holodiction problem.
