Professor Robert Winston, Lord Winston (born 15 July1940) is a British scientist and politician. He achieved prominence in the media as an expert in fertility, and was one of the pioneers of in vitro fertilisation. He was made a life peer in 1995. He sits on the Labour Party benches in the House of Lords.
