Rosa Parks Highway

Rosa Parks Highway is a portion of United States Interstate 55 in Saint Louis County, near St. Louis, Missouri. The road was named after civil rights activist Rosa Parks by an act of the United States Congress in 1972.

In 2000 the Ku Klux Klan sponsored the highway for clean up (which allowed them to have signs stating that this section of highway was maintained by the organization). In response, the Missouri legislature prominently marked this section as named after Rosa Parks.
