Sade Adu (born 16 January 1959), born Helen Folasade Adu is a popular English singer of sophisticated ballads under the name of Sade. She was born in Ibadan, Nigeria of a Nigerian father and English mother, then moved to England.

Sade was awarded a grammy for the album 'lovers rock' in the 'best pop vocal album; for solo artists, duos or groups' category on 27 february 2002
