Sarah Marple-Cantrell

Sarah Montgomery Marple-Cantrell (December 28, 1990 - April 16, 2003) was an American sixth-grade schoolgirl who committed suicide by shooting herself at the age of twelve. She was born to Cyrus Cantrell (a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas) and Lynn Marple.

She attended St. Alcuin Montessori School in Dallas, Texas from 18 months until second grade, then Greenhill School in Addison, Texas. On April 16, 2003, she brought a gun to school with her and shot herself in a Greenhill School bathroom.
