Saulteaux

The Saulteaux First Nation of western Canada is a branch of the Ojibwa, Ojibway, or Chippewa people. The Saulteaux were first encountered by Europeans near the site of present-day Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario (whence their name—"people of the falls"), but they moved west with the expansion of the fur trade and now live in Saskatchewan.
