Sean Elliot (born February 2, 1968) is a former NBAbasketball player. He went to college at the University of Arizona. He was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round in 1989. Elliott spent his whole career with the Spurs, except for the 1993-94 season, during which he was on the Detroit Pistons. He retired in 2001. While with the Spurs, Elliot won an NBA title in 1999. Shortly after this Elliott announced that he had a kidney disease and that he would need a transplant. He underwent surgery in August of that year and on March 13, 2000, Elliott became the first player to return after a kidney transplant. He finished his career averaging 14.2 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game and 2.6 assists per game. His career high was 41 points against the Dallas Mavericks on December 18, 1992. As of 2004, he is a basketball analyst for ABC Sports and ESPN.
