Secondary cell

A secondary cell is any kind of electrolytic cell in which the electrochemical reaction of interest is reversible. Widespread examples are rechargable batteries (such as Ni-Cd ("nicad") batteries in portable consumer electronics, and lead-acid ones in automobile ignition systems).
