The Secretary of State for Health and Social Security was a UK cabinet position with responsibility for the Department for Health and Social Security.

• Patrick Jenkin (1979-1981)
• Norman Fowler (1981-1987)
• John Moore (1987-1988)

In 1988 the role was split with the department into the Secretary of State for Health and the Secretary of State for Social Security. Moore continued as Social Security Secretary, and Ken Clarke was made Health Secretary.
