Shohreh Aghdashloo (born 1953 in Iran) is an actress and activist. She is outspoken against her native Iran's current government. As a result of her career and criticism of Iran, her name was banned from Iranian newspapers until her nomination for 2004Best Supporting Actess for "House of Sand and Fog".
