Surface supplied diving

Surface supplied diving equipment is an alternative to SCUBA equipment where the diver is supplied with breathing gas using an umbilical cord from the surface, often from a diving support vessel but possibly, indirectly from a diving bell.

This type of diving is generally used for deep commercial diving and especially for saturation diving.
