Susan Finlayson (born December 10, 1978) is an historian and botanist. While at Stanford University, Finlayson studied environmental history. She leveraged her academic background to move into the Carnegie Institution's Global Change ecology project. Finlayson participated in research in Cuba on the relationship between social systems and different organic farming methods. She contributed her talents to the Murie Center, the renowned conservation organization in Jackson Hole, WY. Most recently she has taken her research to Argentinian farms.
