Temple is a community located just off M-61 in northern lower Michigan. It is located approximately 12 miles west of Harrison, Michigan. Located along the Muskegon River, it was a bustling area when Michigan's logging industry was in its prime; however, it is now regarded as a ghost town, like many of lower Michigan's former logging centers.
