Jack Lucas, a talk radio host (Bridges), becomes suicidally despondant after his on-air comments inadvertantly cause a psychotic caller to commit multiple murders. Three years later he is attacked and almost set on fire, but Parry, a crazy street person (Williams) rescues him. Parry is on a mission to find the Holy Grail, and tries to convince Lucas to help him.
The film won an Academy Award for Ms. Ruehl and was nominated for Best Actor, Mr. Williams, Best art direction, best original score and best original screenplay for Mr. LaGravenese.
