The Jackson Five was a group of singing brothers from Gary, Indiana. They were Jackie (1951), Tito (1953), Jermaine (1954), Marlon (1957) and Michael (1958). Their father Joe Jackson was their manager.
Initially signed to Motown, they popularized a style known as "bubblegum soul." The group signed with Epic in 1977 under the name The Jacksons (because Motown owned the rights to the name Jackson Five).
The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999.
