A Canadian politician, Anglin was a member of the Liberal Party of Canada in the Canadian House of Commons, representing the riding of Gloucester, New Brunswick from 1867 to 1882. Anglin was a newspaper owner, and a newspaper editor. Anglin served as the Speaker of the House from 1874 to 1879.
