Tokushima (徳島市; -shi) is the capital city of Tokushima prefecture on Shikoku island of Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 267,343 and the density of 1,398.02 persons per km². The total area is 191.23 km².

The city was founded on October 1, 1889.
