Tomás Luis de Victoria

Thomas Luis de Victoria (1548 - 1611) was one of the most important composers from Spain's Castilian school. De Victoria is known only to have wrote sacred pieces without any secular inspiration, he composed in mainly homophonic harmony instead of melodic polyphony; de Victoria also was known to have studied with Palestrina.
