Toyama (富山市; -shi) is the capital city of Toyama in Japan. It sits on central part of Honsyu.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 325,443 and the density of 1,558.56 persons per km². The total area is 208.81 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1889.
