In the Caribbean basin there is a great variety of trees. Tropical vegetation is constituted mainly with wood plants.Many trees in the Caribbean area reach very important heights. It is imprtant to know that under the tropics, trees grows at a much faster rate than under temperate climates. Ajaracanda, for example, can reach a 15 meters height in less than 5 years.
