Trim

Trim (gaelic Troim), is the capital of the county Meath in Ireland. Elevation 60m, located on the River Boyne. The town was one of the most important English settlement in the Middle Ages. In the 15th century, the anglo-norman parliament met in Trim. The Duke of Wellington was born in the vicinity.

Trim castle covers an area of 5 hectares. The present building was erected in 1212 on the site of an earlier motte and bailey fort.
