Tver (Cyrillic Тверь), formerly (1931-1990) Kalinin (Калинин), is a city in Russia, center of Tver Oblast (region). It is located at 56.86° North, 35.91° East, and as of 2003 it has a population of 453,000. Stands on river Volga.
