Twins is a popular musical group in Asia. It consists of two young ladies, Charlene CHOI Cheuk-yin and Gillian CHUNG Yan-tung, who was originally called CHUNG Ka-lai.

Biography

Charlene Choi, also called Ar Sa, was born in Canada on November 22, 1982. Gillian Chung, also called Ar Gill / Gill Gill, was born in Hong Kong on January 21, 1981.

Start of their show business

Twins started their career in the summer in 2001, and they are well-known with their first song '明愛暗戀補習社'. Within two years, they have already enjoyed great popularity and they have fans from many Asian countries, including China, Taiwan and Japan.

Before they were employed by the Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG) to be singers, Gillian was studying in Melbourne, Australia and became a model as her part-time job during one of her summer vacations in Hong Kong. She was then introduced by her model company to EEG. Similar to Gillian, Charlene was also a part-time model that has taken part in several advertisements. She got famous after her participation in a television program orginised by Radio Television Hong Kong. As the two girls look like each other, EEG soon arrange them to form a group called 'Twins'. During the first two years, they released 3 EPs and 3 albums and all these CDs achieved very good sale. Their achievement had made them more outstanding among other new singers. For these few years, they have had several concerts. The musical awards they obtained proved that their effort has been appreciated.

In the coming future, Twins will probably become the most popular singers in Hong Kong, as the number of their fans is now gradually increasing, including children, teenagers, and even the aged.

Just like other pop stars, apart from their singing business, Twins have also taken part in quite a number of advertisements, television series and films, which make them even more popular among the teenagers.

Different kinds of activities they are taking part in continue enhancing their popularity among the public. This can help their company to make more profit. Thus their company will continue to promote them through helping them to receive more jobs, in order to earn more and more money. This is the usual way which a business company will do.
