The Gamla Ullevi ("Old Ullevi"), built in 1916, has a capacity of slightly over 15,000 and is home to several football clubs, most notably IFK Göteborg.
The Nya Ullevi ("New Ullevi") was built in 1958; its original use was as a venue for the 1958 World Cup. Since then, it has hosted numerous sports events, notably football and athletics. This stadium has an all-seated capacity of 43,200.
Nya Ullevi was home to the World Championships in Athletics in 1995, and will host the UEFA Cup final in 2004.
