The original campus, located in the northeastern part of the city, is now the South Campus of the University at Buffalo. The North Campus is a more modern campus located in nearby Amherst, New York.
The University at Buffalo has many different schools and disciplines, including Architecture and Planning, Arts and Sciences, Dental Medicine, Education, Engineering and Applied Science, Informatics, Law, Mangagement, Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health and Health Professions, and Social Work. The university has more than 100 undergraduate degree progams, along with masters, doctoral and professional programs.
The university has a Division One sports program, competing as the Bulls.
This university is different from Buffalo State College, which is the other SUNY school in Buffalo and is located in the northwestern part of the city.
