University of California, Riverside
The University of California, Riverside (UCR), located in Riverside, California is one of the University of California (UC) campuses.
Students at the school include 15,000 undergraduated and 2,000 graduates.
The university is divided into:
- The College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences;
- The College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences;
- The Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering;
- The A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management; and
- The Graduate School of Education.
UCR offers various bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, as well as teaching and other credentials.
There is also a University Extension program to provide continuing education to community members in the Inland Empire.
Some of UCR's unusual features include:
- The largest academic collection of Star Trek material;
- The UCR Citrus Experiment Station, which introduced the navel orange to the United States;
- The California Museum of Photography;
- A major in nematology, the study of roundworms.
