USS Abraham Lincoln

Two United States Navy ships have borne the name Abraham Lincoln, in honor of the 16th President.

• The first Abraham Lincoln (SSBN-602) was a ballistic missile submarine commissioned 1961.
• The second Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) is an aircraft carrier commissioned in 1989.

A fictional USS Abraham Lincoln, frigate, is sunk by Captain Nemo's Nautilus in Jules Verne's novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
