Wejherowo (former German name Neustadt in Westpreussen) is a city in EasternPomerania, northern Poland, with 47,300 inhabitants (1995). Founded in 1643 by Jakub Wejher as the result of his participation in the defence of Smolensk fortress, besieged by Russians.
