West Los Angeles

West Los Angeles is defined as the portion of Los Angeles, California that lies east of the Pacific Ocean, west of Fairfax Boulevard, south of the Santa Monica Mountains and north of the airport. It includes the communities of Westwood, Mar Vista, Palms, Brentwood, Culver City, Bel-Air, West Hollywood, Century City, Rancho Park, Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills, Cheviot Hills, Beverlywood, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Sawtelle, Pacific Palisades, Malibu and the canyons. To locals, there is a nuance to the term, in which "West L.A." is used to describe all the parts of the area that aren't particularly defined. The 310 area code covers much of West Los Angeles.
