Western Canada Concept

The Western Canada Concept was a western sepratist political party in Canada, advocating the sepration from canada, then union of, the provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. It was assumed the Yukon and Northwest Territories would have also joined such a union. The best showing for the party was in the 1982 provincial election in Alberta where they took 11.8% of the vote, but did not elect any MLA's

The most prominent leader of the party was Doug Christie a lawyer with links to the far right who has made a career defending accused neo-Nazis such as Ernst Zündel and Wolfgang Droege.
