Wil Wheaton Dot Net

Wil Wheaton Dot Net (WWDN), also known as wilwheaton.net, is a web site run by former child star and actor Wil Wheaton. On the site, Wheaton writes stories and anecdotes about things that happen in his day-to-day life. His writings on WWDN have led a book, Dancing Barefoot (ISBN 0974116009), with a three-book deal from O'Reilly promising another edition of Dancing Barefoot and two additional books to follow.

He has a discussion board known as "The Soapbox" or "Paracosm" where people can gather to talk about various subjects including movies, music, books, religion, politics, gaming, geocaching, etc. Over 10,500 people have joined the Soapbox community; however a December 2003 purge of inactive accounts dropped that number to about 2,500 active members, of which about 400 are regular daily visitors. The Soapbox is like a family, the regular users say. The community is well known for being very friendly and almost flame free. The community members collaborate on many projects for charity. In 2002, the community raised over $17,000 for breast cancer research, and in the winter & spring of 2004 will raise funds to sponsor Wil and his wife Anne on a 26-mile walk to help fund leukemia research. Community members also share a community MoBlog.

Wheaton also maintains a photo gallery, a MoBlog, and an AudioBlog

Wil Wheaton is not affiliated with the websites wilwheaton.org and wilwheaton.com. The website www.wilwheaton.org lures people onto a random shock site, which can be Goatse, Tubgirl, or Last Measure. It sometime goes to wilwheaton.net
