臨界点

臨界点（りんかいてん）とは、物質の液化の起こる最高の温度・圧力の点である。そのときの温度を臨界温度 Tc、圧力を臨界圧力 Pc、体積を臨界体積 Vc、密度を臨界密度 ρcという。

気化熱が、0となる点としても定義できる。また、臨界圧力以下の気相を蒸気と呼ぶ。
